Allison Stokke and Alyce Caron
Allison Stokke is one of the most popular and richest Pole Vaulter who was born on March 22, 1989 at Newport Beach California United States. She became a pole jumper in 2007 after she saw a photograph of her from a track meet aged 17. She's gained an enormous social following on Instagram and Twitter. Her name is well-known as a track and fields athlete, similar to Jessica Ennis Hill. Los Angeles Times and others reported that Stokke was not one to seek out or encourage such attention. The authors of their work Technology Power and Culture in the Network Society Brett Hutchins and David Rowe linked Stokke's case with that of American soccer players Alex Morgan and Hope Solo women athletes who were idolized and saw their public image as sexually distorted in a manner that the authors said de-emphasized their sporting achievements. Stokke was also the target of comments made on social media that were insulting which the authors blamed this process of sexualization solely on the women. Many others made parallels to Brandi Chastain's celebration after winning the 1999 FIFA World Cup Women's Final in her sports bra. Women's athletic achievements were masked by the discussion of their appearance. A reporter from the Californian site for track and field captured photos of Stokke in New York at the beginning of 2007. Images were shared on the internet. With Leather, a popular sports website that attracts plenty of readers who are male posted the picture in May, under the heading Pole Vaulting Is Sexy Barely legal. Matt Ufford threatened to file a suit against the photographer, if that image was not deleted. However, by the time the post and its images were gaining an enormous amount of interest. Stokke was soon the subject of a site dedicated to her. The site included a number of photos of Stokke taking part in pole vault. These photos quickly went viral through social media and online fan clubs attracted thousands. Alyce Caron..............Alyce Caron was born in Houston in the United States in February 1957.
