Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th, 1967. Julia Fona Roberts is the 4th generation Roberts that resided in Atlanta. At an early age the father of her mother became obsessed by theater. He was a part of his Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. He joined the Air Force. While stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi, he acted in a show together with Betty Lou Bredemus. They got married in 1955. Their son, Eric Anthony, was born in the year 1956. Walter was enrolled in Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957 they quit the Air Force and Walter began his studies at Tulane. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio at the time they moved their family from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday morning local television show that was aimed at children, called Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture that they funded themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for 6 years. During this time they also had two kids Lelisa (called Lisa) Billingsley in the year 1965 in 1965 and Julia (called Julie) in 1967.
